It's a plant, no it's a bush, no it's more like a dwarf tree.
This unusual plant is not listed in any butterfly books I know of, but it certainly makes my list.
It's a great bloomer over most of the summer and attracts quite a few butterflies and insects.
It does well in a sunny location and needs little attention.
It's also the host plant for the Spring Azure, which lays eggs on its unopened flower buds. |
